Brazos Valley Farmers Market

Happily returned to Historic Downtown Bryan after almost 20 years, and is located at 500 North Main St. in Historic Downtown Bryan. It has always been led by a small group of local producers who wanted to provide the region with local produce. The original Saturday market only had a few vendors. As of 2010, our market had grown to two weekly markets with ever growing sales.

The goals in the early days were the same as the goals are today – to create venues where local farmers can connect directly with Brazos Valley consumers, to build community in an urban setting, and to provide public education on regional farming, gardening and food preparation.

Brazos Valley Farmers Market is governed by an all volunteer board. The organization is funded through vendor fees and countless hours of volunteer time. Brazos Valley Farmers Market receives no city, state, or federal funding.

2018 Board of Directors:

  • President: Jim Bob McKown
  • Vice-President: Carrie Parris
  • Secretary: Donna Burton
  • Treasurer: Amy Decker
  • Market Manager: Ron Bolton
